Retail price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) for vehicular segment in the Pune city including Pimpri-Chinchwad and adjoining areas of Chakan, Talegaon and Hinjewadi shall be undergoing upward revision of Rs. 0.90/- per KG (including taxes) and accordingly, the CNG retail selling price shall be revised to Rs. 85.90/- per KG with effect from midnight of 8th/9th September 2024.
Due to increasing volumes of the CNG segment and increasing requirement for blending more proportion of market priced / imported natural gas, the input gas cost has increased.
In order to partially offset the same, marginal increase by Rs. 0.90/- per Kg (after including all applicable taxes) of CNG price is being effected from midnight of 8th/9th September 2024 in the above mentioned areas.
Despite this marginal revision, the revised CNG price of Rs. 85.90/- per Kg still offers attractive savings of around 49% in comparison to petrol and around 27% as compared to diesel at current price levels in Pune city for passenger car segment and around 29% for Autorickshaws.
The Domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) prices shall remain unchanged.
