A bespoke ‘turbo’ emblem beneath the M2 badge, bold M stripes flowing across the bonnet, carbon-fibre roof and tailgate, and a carbon-fibre rear spoiler reinforce its motorsport pedigree, while optional 19/20-inch Gold Bronze M Performance forged wheels complete the unmistakable heritage-inspired look.

Beneath the design upgrades, the 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine delivers 353 kW (480 hp), launching the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds toward an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (or 285 km/h with the optional M Driver’s Package).
The legendary BMW 2022 Turbo

More importantly, it pioneered series-production turbocharging for passenger cars, introducing a technology that would transform automotive engineering for decades to come. What began as a daring statement of innovation became the blueprint for modern performance. The BMW 2002 turbo remains a landmark in BMW history, a technological trailblazer whose influence continues to power the automotive world today. The BMW 2002 turbo combined lightweight proportions with unmistakable performance intent. A true pioneer, it remains one of the most influential sports sedans in automotive history.
